Meet Our Director

Kerri Hicks Register, M.S., CCC-SLP, QOM

Kerri Hicks Register, M.S., CCC-SLP, QOM brings three decades of extensive experience, ranging from early childhood intervention to geriatric care, demonstrating a wealth of expertise across diverse age groups.  Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kerri attended Oklahoma State University and University of Texas at Dallas.  She has experience in pediatric and adult outpatient centers, early childhood intervention, inpatient rehabilitation, long term acute care and skilled nursing settings. 

Kerri holds specialized certifications in Vitalstim, AmpcareMD, and Beckman Oral Motor for swallowing and Speak Out!®, LSVT/LOUD for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, Kerri is a qualified oral facial myologist, showcasing her commitment to excellence in her field.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Kerri enjoys cherishing moments with her family, including her three sons and two daughters. Her passions extend to activities like travel, yoga, hiking, swimming, and nurturing her garden, reflecting her vibrant and holistic approach to life.

Alyssa Caldwell M.S., CCC-SLP

Alyssa Caldwell M.S., CCC-SLP is a Dripping Springs native. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Texas at Dallas. Alyssa worked as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the home health setting, where she discovered her passion for working with children.

Alyssa has experience supporting children with a variety of syndromes and developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down syndrome. She also has experience treating speech sound disorders, fluency, expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, social and pragmatic differences, and feeding challenges. Additionally, Alyssa has had the opportunity to work with adults with neurological and cognitive impairments and is a licensed SPEAK OUT!® Provider. She is excited to serve patients in the Austin and Dripping Springs area and to be a part of this team.

Meet Our Therapist

Crystal Koran M.S., CCC-SLP

Crystal Koran, M.S., CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist from Altus, Oklahoma.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in communication disorders from the University of Central Oklahoma.  She is a proud Navy wife and mom of two beautiful children.  Crystal has served communities in Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, California and Maryland.  She has extensive experience working with adult populations.  She has provided services in the ICU, skilled nursing facilities and in both in/out patient hospital settings.

Crystal treats a wide variety of neurological, swallowing and voice disorders in the areas of cognition, receptive/expressive language, aphasia, dysarthria, acquired apraxia, vocal cord dysfunction, aural rehab and has experience in treating exercise induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO).  Crystal is a licensed SPEAK OUT! Provider through Parkinson Voice Project also has specialty training in Ampcare – Effective Swallowing Protocol, a Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) approach in treating swallowing disorders.

Crystal is thrilled to be part of the Bluebonnet Therapy Specialists family and to have the opportunity to support clients in Dripping Springs and Central Texas by helping them improve their communication and swallowing skills. Crystal Koran is one of the best therapists in Austin. She believes everyone deserves a voice, and she is excited to make an impact!

Meet Our Therapist

Michelle Williams M.S., CCC-SLP

Michelle Williams M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 24 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southwest Texas State University and has spent most of her life living in and around the Austin area, giving her a strong connection to the community she serves. She is licensed in the state of Texas and maintains current certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Michelle’s clinical experience spans skilled nursing facilities, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health settings. She treats a wide variety of conditions affecting speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing, and is committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based care. She is certified in VitalStim therapy as well as the LSVT LOUD and SPEAK OUT! programs, equipping her to provide specialized treatment for individuals with dysphagia and neurological communication disorders.

She is especially passionate about working with the geriatric population and believes the most meaningful and functional outcomes are achieved in the home environment, where therapy can be directly integrated into a patient’s daily life.

Outside of her professional work, Michelle is married and the proud mother of three grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and relaxing with her favorite TV shows.

Meet Our Therapist

Lacey Copacia M.A., CCC-SLP

Originally from Michigan, Lacey Copacia M.A., CCC-SLP relocated to Dripping Springs five years ago and has loved calling it “home” ever since. She earned her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and completed her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at Wayne State University in Detroit. 
 
Lacey’s clinical experience includes working with children in the elementary school setting as well as with the geriatric population in both skilled nursing and outpatient environments.  Her main passion lies with the geriatric population and treating cognitive-communication, speech and language deficits, dysphagia, voice therapy, and neurological rehabilitation for patients with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain injury. She is also a certified Parkinson Voice Project SPEAK OUT!® provider, with a passion for helping individuals maintain and improve their communication and overall quality of life. 
 
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, and two dogs. She also loves traveling, reading, and exploring all that Texas has to offer!
